Car trouble should not cost you a workday, a tow bill, and hours in a repair-shop waiting room. Auto Monkey connects people in San Antonio with vetted mobile mechanics who perform qualifying repairs where the vehicle is parked—at home, at work, or in another safe and accessible location.

Whether the car will not start on the Northwest Side, needs brakes before another trip on Loop 410, or begins overheating during a South Texas afternoon, Auto Monkey offers a practical alternative to towing and waiting.

• We Bring the Repair to You
For qualifying services, an available mechanic comes to the approved vehicle location. Consequently, you may be able to avoid a tow, a rideshare home, and another trip back to the shop.
• Vetted, Qualified Mechanics
Auto Monkey screens and evaluates mechanics before they work through the platform. Estimates, communication, appointment details, and payment remain in one organized system.
• Upfront Estimates and Secure Payment
Review the proposed work and pricing before approving the repair. Payment is handled through Auto Monkey, so there is no need to exchange cash with a mechanic.
• Warranty-Backed Service
Qualifying repairs booked through Auto Monkey are backed by a 24-month/24,000-mile warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms and exclusions.

San Antonio drivers routinely move between Downtown, the Medical Center, military installations, suburban neighborhoods, and communities throughout Bexar County. Routes such as I-10, I-35, I-37, Loop 410, Loop 1604, US 281, and Highway 151 can make even an ordinary appointment a major part of the day.

Mobile repair changes the logistics. Instead of taking a disabled vehicle across town, provide the location and requested service. If the job is suitable for mobile repair, you can review the estimate and schedule an available mechanic to come to the vehicle.

South Texas heat is particularly hard on batteries, cooling systems, belts, hoses, and air-conditioning components. Stop-and-go traffic makes an existing weakness more obvious. For example, a small coolant leak may seem manageable during a short morning drive but become a serious overheating problem during afternoon traffic. Likewise, a marginal battery may fail after sitting in the heat.

However, Auto Monkey does not claim that every repair belongs in a parking space. Work requiring an alignment rack, tire machine, lift, major drivetrain equipment, extensive programming, or controlled shop conditions remains outside the scope of mobile service.

Auto Monkey mobile mechanics offers a wide range of car repair services for all makes and models, including diagnostic work, brakes and rotors, alternator, starter motor, power steering, battery replacement, oil changes, suspension, heating and cooling systems, thermostats, water pumps, drive & auxiliary belts, and more. Our experienced mobile mechanics arrive with all the tools needed to complete the job, ensuring you get back on the road quickly and safely.

We Don't Do: transmission work, engine swaps, PCM programming, tire balancing, alignments, windshield or glass repair, body work, or tires.
